And now, another issue, albeit a more serious one has made its way. Various users have voiced their concern that Facebook is displaying posts from the accounts and pages that they have unfollowed in the past. So the users who have unfollowed a page because it didn’t have the contents that were in sync with their requirements or if they had unfollowed a person due to personal reasons have no choice but to again scroll through their posts.
Facebook displaying posts from unfollowed accounts and pages
Practically, these accounts and pages are still being unfollowed, so you wouldn’t find the Unfollow button in their account. And this makes the matter only worse. Then the fact that the issue is present across all the devices proves to be the icing on the cake, which for once, wasn’t needed. So what is the culprit behind this bug? Well, at the time of writing, Facebook is testing some new features for its Groups. These include the likes of community chat, audio, and feed channels. Apart from that, there is a new sidebar from where you could interact with your favorite accounts and groups in just a few clicks. So due to these under-the-hood changes going on, it might be the case of its conflict with other Facebook account features, including the one related to Unfollow. But that is just speculative and you should take it with a pinch of salt. So is there a way to put an end to this issue of Facebook displaying posts from unfollowed accounts and pages? Well, not at the moment. But as soon as there is any official confirmation or unofficial workaround to deal with this bug, we will update this post accordingly.
